Together, our small sums will make a big difference.
Bethany was living in a group home when we met her. Since she received assistance from us, she has been able to get a job and a place of her own.

What We Do

Small Sums is a way for our organization to help adults who are homeless acquire things like uniforms, work boots, or job training that are needed to start a job. We also provide business planning and resources for the start up of small businesses. We do this through four different programs:

This program provides equipment, tools, and uniforms that are necessary for jobs our clients have secured. This program removes one of the last obstacles that homeless individuals seeking jobs tend to encounter when securing employment. We will assist with expenses of up to $500.

Applicants in this program are in need of funding to complete a job training or vocational program to certify them in a specific skill or trade. Examples of programs we have helped fund include forklift training, barbering, and carpentry. We will assist with expenses of up to $1,200.

This program provides entrepreneurial opportunities to our clients. Applicants come to us with a business idea, and we provide business planning, budgeting, and mentorship along with start-up funding for the development of a small business. We will assist with expenses of up to $2,000.

This program is specific to women. Applicants in this program are looking to complete an educational program specifically related to the medical field. Upon completion of classes, uniforms and/or other necessary equipment may be provided in order for her to start work. We will assist with expenses of up to $1,200.
