You are invited to our Spring Celebration!

We hope you will join us on May 10  for our Spring Celebration Luncheon!

We are thrilled to be able to invite you back in person to celebrate the lives of our clients, the hard work of our staff, and all of our incredible supporters that allow us to do this invaluable work. Together, we will enjoy lunch catered by AMI while hearing the inspirational stories of our clients.

What: Small Sums Spring Celebration is a fundraising luncheon to help us serve over 700 clients in 2022!

Why: Your support of Small Sums changes hundreds of lives every year. Join us to hear how your contribution transforms lives by helping folks who are homeless start a new job and a new life! The Spring Celebration is a time of community building for Small Sums. It’s a celebration of coming together- with our staff, donors, volunteers, sponsors, and clients. We all come together to make it a day of generosity, friendship, and storytelling.

This free event celebrates Small Sums, our supporters, and our clients. A plated lunch will be served by the American Swedish Institute with a program that includes powerful stories from our clients. Enjoy a silent auction before and during the event as well. Dress is casual.

Who: You! This is for folks who believe in Small Sums mission or want to learn more.

Please RSVP by May 3rd.

Free parking is available on ASI's surface parking lot. The ASI will be closed to the public during this event, and parking spaces should be ample.

We look forward to seeing your beautiful faces and warm hearts!

MEET AJ

AJ is currently staying at Homeward Bound, a new shelter in the Twin Cities that provides culturally specific services for the Native American Community.
He is thrilled to be working as a line cook and showing off his skills at a restaurant in Minneapolis and looks forward to when they can expand their menu as in-person dining picks up. He has a passion for cooking and is even starting a second job soon in another kitchen.

“I’m remaining positive and setting goals… I can’t help but visualize that things are going to get better for me.” He is looking forward to a steady paycheck and has hopes of getting into his own place again soon.

We were able to outfit AJ with black pants, black t-shirts, non-slip shoes, Bombas socks and a 31-day bus pass. He was moved to tears knowing that he would be walking out of our office with brand-new work items and reliable transportation.

We are so inspired by his resilience and know that his determination will take him far in this new season of opportunity.
