Eurell has worked most of his life in retail, restaurants or with kids in local community programs. He joined the Small Sums client services team in 2019 and is the first warm and welcoming smile our clients encounter as they arrive. He loves working with people and acts as our on-site tailor, putting his experience at a formal wear shop to good use when he gets the chance to hem pants, ensuring each client has a perfect fit. He is from Chicago and grew up in a big family who loves celebrating holidays, birthdays and important milestones together. He enjoys all types of music, cooking, binge watching Netflix shows and spending time with his friends.
After serving at Small Sums through the Jesuit Volunteer Crops, Tera accepted the Intake and Referral Specialist position, a new role for the organization. Tera received her undergraduate degree in Political Science and Philosophy from the College of the Holy Cross and is applying to pursue a master's degree in social work next year. Tera hopes to continue to work closely with clients, listen intentionally to their stories, and nurture relationships with our many partners working to end homelessness in the Twin Cities. She currently lives in Saint Paul with her roommate and their new kitten, Nell. In her free time, Tera enjoys exploring parks and running with Mile in My Shoes.
Celeste graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Human Geography from the University of Minnesota in 2008 and her Masters of Arts in Teaching in 2019. Celeste started working in nonprofits as a research intern in 2006, and has gone on to do policy work, youth outreach, advocacy, programming, and development work in the non-profit sector.
Celeste's first memories are living in transitional housing. She believes that housing insecurity can affect us all, and there is a critical need for community building, safety nets, and a tight network of support for folks experiencing or at-risk of housing insecurity. She is excited to apply her passion and skill-set to the development team at Small Sums. She lives in Saint Paul with her husband, toddler and puppy.
