After several sleepless nights due to anxiety over job interviews, Rodell is “so excited to start” his new job at Paradise Bakery! He learned about Small Sums through our partner, Hired, a local nonprofit providing coaching, support, and training to help youth and young adults complete a diploma or GED, explore careers and gain employment in a field they’re passionate about. 

With Hired’s help, Rodell got an ID, a bank account, and a new job! We outfitted him with nonslip shoes, chef apparel, a windbreaker jacket, Bombas socks, and a wallet, "I feel like I just came from Christmas shopping,” he exclaimed! And, "I love the coupons,” he said with a smile, grabbing a few on his way out, “you’ll going to feed a brother for a while!”
